Lawmakers question why they weren’t told of Shanahan’s family turmoil

President Trump is looking again for a permanent secretary of defense. Acting Secretary Patrick Shanahan abruptly withdrew his nomination Tuesday after domestic violence incidents from several years ago surfaced.
