Carol Lynam & Virginia Ely discuss support options for those impacted by strokes
A stroke occurs when a blood vessel that carries oxygen and nutrients to the brain is either blocked by a clot, or bursts. If the blood flow can’t reach the region of the brain that controls a particular body function, then that part of the body will not work as it should. That’s where Carol Lynam and Virginia Ely enter the picture. These two work with victims in recovery, and most people do recover from strokes. They also formed a series of support groups to help those impacted by stokes – both individuals, and their families.
