Fearless 11-year-old skateboarder sets her sights on Olympics

Skateboarding will make its debut at the Olympic Games in Tokyo next year. One 11-year-old is setting her sights on taking part. Sky Brown competed Friday at the X-Games in Minneapolis, where she became the first female skateboarder to land a “frontside 540” in the Games’ history. Is there anything wrong with being average? As students prepare to go back to school, we are looking for answers in our series with TED, “Ideas That Matter.” In her popular TED Talk, educator Danielle Moss says that average students and employees deserve more attention and recognition. Moss is the CEO of Oliver Scholars, which helps black and Latino students from under-served communities prepare for college. She joined “CBS This Morning” to talk about being average. Source
