Personal Growth Counseling’s Elizabeth Rodgers discusses teen eating disorders.

Some 9% of the U.S. population will deal with an eating disorder at some point in their lives. Most of those are women, though eating disorders also affect men. Did you know that eating disorders are the second most deadliest mental illness in the United States second only to opiod addiction? What can be done for those who deal with eating disorders? What are the warning signs for you as a parent that a teenager might be developing an eating disorder? Elizabeth Rodgers works with Personal Growth Counseling of Cookeville.

And with the hope that COVID may soon come to an end, there’s optimism for the future. Ruth Dyal leads the Upper Cumberland Tourism Association as its Executive Director.

For example, Tennessee third graders – a 50% drop in reading, a projected 65% drop in math proficiency with COVID one of the main reasons. But what do the numbers really mean? Is the data there to show that kind of learning loss? Putnam County’s Director of Schools is Corby King.
