Tucker spent countless hours helping, organizing, finding resources, laboring to help the community he loves. Tucker’s life, however, is a story of national acclaim. But to speak to him, you would never know that.

Census numbers show it – Putnam County has grown by at least 10% in the last ten years – that according to census data released last week. Some argue the numbers underestimate the growth. It’s good news for the community economically, but there are also challenges. We continue our series of discussions about those challenges with County Commissioner Jordan Iwanyszyn, County Commissioner Jim Martin, and School Board member Lynn McHenry.

The Upper Cumberland Air Fair will be a chance for all of us to celebrate not only the airplane, but also the place that the airport has in our Upper Cumberland life. At least exploring areas that they think might make them happy for the rest of their lives. Understanding that college is not a good option for a lot of different people. The local school systems are doing their part to expose young people to as many different opportunities as possible. Today, we continue our conversation with White County Director Of Schools Kurt Dronebarger, and Putnam County Director Of Schools Corby King.

And as schools open in White County, Putnam County, and so many of the communities across the Upper Cumberland, there will be a renewed focus on getting each student ready for the post-graduation world. There’s always been career education in schools, but the way it looks today is much different. Corby King is Director of the Putnam County Schools, Kurt Dronebarger directs the White County Schools.

Urologist Dr. Rick Smith talks everything you need to know on prostate cancer.

When this year is done, the American Cancer Society says prostate cancer will be the most common type of cancer among men. 26% of cancer cases will involve the prostate. That amounts to about 248,000 Americans, and yet prostate cancer is one form of cancer that has a very high success rate of treatment. Dr. Rick Smith of the Upper Cumberland Urology Group is here with us today to talk about prostate cancer.
