A record 1.2 million Americans chose to go electric last year – that according to estimates from the Kelley Blue Book. More specifically, the share of EV sales across the United States – 7.6%. The belief is that number will top 10% in 2024. A new organization through the Upper Cumberland Development District aims to educate all of us about what electric vehicle use is all about, and why it might make sense for you.

Mark highlights a list of new outdoor workshops Vol State will offer this spring

This week on Upper Cumberland Outdoors… Host Brad Halfacre sits down with Mark Green from Vol State Community College in Cookeville talking about the spring installment of their outdoor workshop series. They discuss the outdoor culinary course that will be taught by a professional chef,  a fly fishing course that could be very popular that will have an two sessions, and Mark gives out initial contact info for people that want to know more about these classes.

It was one of the largest plantations in the Upper Cumberland. At one time, its ground served as a home, an inn, a mercantile store, and even a school. Now it is a city owned facility that showcases the heritage and 1800s style of Algood.
