Pickett County Girls land win over Red Boiling Springs Friday night going 65-50.

Stone Memorial and Upperman girls head coaches and players join live from Chick-fil-A, Interstate Drive in Cookeville. Both teams are ranked in the top 10 in their respective classifications. Stone Memorial won against Rhea County 81-75 last night, while Upperman beat York Institute 58-33. The Pickett County girls continue to be ranked in the top 10 as well despite not playing their best basketball, and won 65-50 against Red Boiling Springs. TTU’s Dr. Stephen Canfield provides an introduction to the field of mechatronics

The field is called mechatronics. In our technical world, it’s all about bringing together the mechanical, and the electronic. In recent reports, 7 of the most in demand engineering jobs said the automation and robotics engineer is one of the most in demand engineers of the next decade. That’s just one example of mechatronics. Dr. Stephen Canfield is a professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Tennessee Tech, and he teaches courses in mechatronics.

Today In The Upper Cumberland airs each weekend as a way to introduce you to interesting people and subjects of interest to our community. Catch the show each Saturday morning at 6 on Rock 93-7, 106-9 Kicks Country, and at 8 on Lite Rock 95.9.
