Name: Gretchens Wheel

It started as a desire to sing and turned into a full international project. Lindsay came from a musical family and for a while stretched into the area of classical and even opera. While she enjoys these stylings, her guitar and her songwriting back her back to her other loves like the Posies. After sending one of their members, Ken Stringfellow an improptu video of her covering their songs, he offered to produce her record. Working from his studio over seas, using file sharing and a trip stateside, the two managed to release that disc earlier this year. She has also been working on a follow up and relying on fans input. Band:  Atomic Dogs

Genre: Rock

While they may be a newer band, the experience among it’s members is certainly not. Playing in various band and being a part of the local music scene in the Upper Cumberland over the past several years, Atomic Dogs feature a group of guys with a clear passion for the music they make. Band: Andrew Adkins

Genre: Americana/Blues/Folk

Andrew is a songwriter first and performer second, he’s been making music in groups and solo around the Nashville for a few years. Having worked with the group Mellow Down Easy before pursuing the solo side of making music, Andrew has quite a few influences reflected in his music. Band:  Liars Chair

Genre: Rock/Hard Rock

Ben Owens has sang for a band or two, and while that passion for singing has always been present, it’s really shown in his work with the members in Liars Chair. Mainly doing covers and tribute style shows, Ben and the other members have begun to wrok towards original material that reflects them and the music they love. Band:  Rusty Rooster

Genre: Southern Rock/Rock

Two Guys who had a band that went from a few members to two and then up to three when Lyndon met his wife and eventual bassist Patty. Billy does the guitar and vocals and after realizing they could use Patty to round out the band, their sound comes together to form a unique one that reflects a love for the southern and classic rock styles with a country flare. They perform mainly around their Jamestown home and keeps people informed online here.

Band: Ted Monday

Genre: Traditional Country

Ted started by singing some tracks and the disc he put those songs on landed in the hands of a producer.  That’s opened the door for Ted to perform more tracks and to help shape a sound that reflects his love for country that’s more in the 80’s style of the genre. Genre: Hard Rock/Metal

Calling Jackson Tennessee home, 5 Stories are slowly spreading out from where they started and spreading their music and love of it with any who’ll listen. With hard hitting tracks like Contagious, they’ve also helped other get going by starting the West Tennessee Musicians group on Facebook. Find out more about them here.

Band: Hunter Lovan/Chris Love

Genre: Metal/Rock/Alternative

Hunter Lovan was originally a founding member of one of the youngest bands to air on the Local Edition, 8 Faces who have since disbanded. Hunter works with Chris on this collaboration and is currently performing with Vampire Bleach Bomb. Chris Love maintains a production studio that handles some acts across middle Tennessee.
