Today In The Upper Cumberland: Parenting In The Modern Age

Local professionals discuss the unique challenges of parenting in the modern age

There’s no more joyful, but maybe also more stressful part of the year for parents than the holidays. So many things to balance, so much to do. Maybe it’s a good chance for us to sit back and think about modern parenting – what challenges all parents face, common stressors, societal influences, the old ways versus modern techniques. Today we go inside parenting with three local people who work with kids daily. Now they too did not get the book on your kids, and how to raise them. But they do bring insight into how children, and the impact of our adult behaviors. Licensed professional counselor Chris Paugh is with us. As is Amy Profant, Tennessee Pathways Regional Coordinator, and Christy Bennett licensed clinical social worker.
